Your Cooperative

Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association is headquartered in Danube, MN.  Renville-Sibley delivers power to nearly 2,000 member/owners throughout Renville County, as well as portions of Sibley, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Redwood, and Nicollet counties.

The land in our area lies very flat and contains heavy, black, rich soil -- perfect for the grain crops that are grown and processed in the area. They consist of sugar beets, corn, soybeans, peas and edible beans, as well as some wheat and oats. Neat and tidy farm sites are sprinkled throughout the countryside. There is very little non-tillable land with the exception of the picturesque rolling hills along the Minnesota River bluffs.

'Co-op Capital of the World'

Renville-Sibley's area is home to a variety of new-generation, value-added cooperatives that provide jobs and prosperity to the surrounding communities throughout our area.

The co-ops involved are: Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative, a sugar processing plant; Christensen Family Farms; Golden Oval Eggs, an egg production and processing plant that breaks 1.4 million eggs a day in order to ship roughly three tanker trucks of liquid eggs per day.

United Mills and Minn-Aqua Fisheries, both located within the city limits of Renville, also contribute to the growing number of cooperatives. United Mills provides the necessary feed for the egg- and swine-producing cooperatives. Minn-Aqua fisheries is the newest of the cooperatives, raising Talapia for the open market. Farmers Union, located near Redwood Falls, MN, produces pet foods, feed additives as well other related byproducts.

Renville-Sibley is also proud to serve Schweiss Bi-Fold Doors of Fairfax, Minnesota, as one of our Key Accounts.
