Energy Star Rebates
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2005 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 23 million cars all while saving $12 billion on their utility bills.
Renville-Sibley has taken the process one step further. Not only do we view this program as an opportunity to save our members money by providing rebates and encouraging energy saving appliances, we've also tailored our program to encourage local economic activity. Each appliance purchased through a locally owned retailer qualifies for an additional $25 rebate. The rebates available through Renville-Sibley Cooperative are listed below.
- Clothes Washer - $50
- Freezer - $100
- Dishwasher - $50
- Refrigerator - $100 - disposal of old refrigerator required
- Room Air Conditioner - $25
- Dehumidifier - $25
- Central Air Conditioner - $200
- Heat Pump - $400
This program is limited each year on a first come-first served basis. Each member is limited to one of each rebates, and the electric appliance purchased must be installed at the applying members location. All rebates are subject to approval, verification, and other cooperative requirements. Contact the office with any questions.
